What's New in 2010

The project at St George Cancer Care Centre, the implementation of VARIAN Medical Systems ARIA for Radiation Oncology and ARIA for Medical Oncology system has been successfully completed. The new ARIA environment went live on 27th January, 2010.

As may be expected, there were a few hickups but overall, the service works very well with all clinicians, nursing and allied health staff using the new system to manage the patient journey through their treatment

The Cancer Council project is expanding with two activities underway. Each involves the implementation of a MediaWiki service for a part of that oprganisation's activities. The three at present are:

* a wiki for supporting the delivery of policy documents to stakeholders.

* a wiki for supporting the development of guidelines for the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA). These guidelines are Australasian consensus guidelines for the diagnosis and management of GEP-NETs.

In addition, the Cancer Voices NSW wiki work continues and we are exploring doing a similar wiki for the Northern Beaches Prostate Cancer Support Group.

The Gay Pride group in Marrickville, Sydney, have taken a beta version of the new version of Testimony Software and are trialling it on an oral history project of the gay community in Marrickville.

We are working on a new version of the convict information kiosk at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum and the Mint in Sydney.
